Torto: Document Vault is a secure local storage app for IDs, PDFs, scans, and everyday documents. It combines strong privacy cues, a simple scanning flow, and a surprisingly warm organizational system that makes sensitive information feel easier to manage.

What we built for Torto
The product takes a dry utility category and gives it clarity, trust, and personality. It feels more approachable than a generic file vault while still signaling privacy and control.
Scan or import a document, crop it cleanly, assign it to a folder, and protect access locally.

Folder avatars that make filing feel friendlier
The avatar system is one of the most memorable ideas in the product. It turns ordinary folders into recognizable “safe containers,” helping users scan visually and build emotional familiarity with what would otherwise be a very dry task.
These covers are more than decoration. They create visual anchors for different document groups and make the app feel personal. In a category where most interfaces default to bland lists, this adds recall, warmth, and a distinct brand signature.
It is also a great example of how utility products can feel expressive without becoming childish or losing trust.
